History

The doors opened for business in 1972. It all began long before then. Wendell Solesbee was a craftsman since childhood. Model airplanes, cars, and electrical projects were all fun to Wendell. He met Martha at Brigham Young University, where she was majoring in business management  while he was majoring in engineering. Their dates in his 1952 customized Mercury preceded the building of their future together. During the next 15 years he was an engineer at Autonetics and she was having children. He began doing bodywork on the side and Martha and sons did paint preparation while he was at work. By 1972 the work orders were so plentiful he decided to open his own business. Solesbee Auto Crafts, Inc. has grown a lot since the man and wife shop of 1972. So has the family! Four sons and three daughters have produced thirty six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren so far.

All four sons are now  managers in  the business. Nathan is General Manager, Greg is Assistant manager, Mike is Shop Foreman and Terry handles Quality Control. Martha is CFO. As CEO, Wendell, who enjoys  real craftsmanship the most, finds himself doing a great deal of management with customer, employee and governmental needs.

The business has quadrupled its floor space through the years to handle     the  demand for our quality of work. Modern computers, state of the art     frame, alignment, paint and welding equipment have kept pace with the ever changing world of cars!

Solesbee Auto Crafts, Inc. has built its success on customer satisfaction. We listen to our customers--our goal is to satisfy their needs. Honesty and quality workmanship have generated many referrals and have brought back our customers for over 30 years.

Considering the size of the Solesbee family, it looks like many more years  of continuous growth to come!
